Virginia has a procurement set-aside program for SWaM (Small businesses, Women-owned businesses, and Minority-owned businesses) certified firms. If you want to do business with the Commonwealth of Virginia, SWaM certification could provide that competitive advantage. Having SWaM certification would be an asset working with state agencies (including public colleges and universities), counties, municipalities, and even the private sector.

During the last fiscal year, the Commonwealth of Virginia spent almost $7 Billion buying goods and services, making Virginia one of the largest potential clients for your company. This $7 Billion was spent on goods and services you probably provide.

More than 95% of businesses in Virginia are eligible for SWaM certification. Most businesses don’t know they are eligible or haven’t considered doing business with the state.
