The Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (DSBSD) recognizes small businesses need assistance with specific business topics to help them succeed. These needs vary throughout the Commonwealth based on the dominant industry in each region.
In 2020, DSBSD will collaborate with various small business resource partners to offer Small Business Academy Workshops throughout the state on topics frequently requested by local business owners.
Some of the upcoming topics in the Central / South region are:

Using Social Media to Grow Your Business
This “hands-on” workshop will show you how to select and reach your target market through strategic planning and creative branding. The topics will include: Social Media Strategy, Target Market Research, Brand Messaging and Social Media Ad Buying.
The presenter, JT Logan, is the Founder and CEO of Four Deep Multimedia, LLC, a full-service advertising and marketing agency based in Richmond, VA. JT is a native of Richmond, Virginia and a graduate of The Richard T. Robertson School of Media & Culture at Virginia Commonwealth University, with a specialization in Creative and Strategic Advertising. He is also a licensed minister and graduate of the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree.
