This workshop presents an overview of the two basic requirements–Small/Micro Business Certification and eVA Registration–for a small business to be positioned to conduct business with the state government agencies as well as many of the local government agencies within the state. It also highlights tips and best practices for selecting the appropriate commodity codes, analyzing the market potential for your particular business, targeting buyers in specific state agencies which buy the goods and/or services your company provides, and navigating Virginia’s eProcurement Portal maximize your opportunities for state and local government business.
The targeted audience is start-up businesses and emerging small businesses.
