This workshop presents an overview of the two basic requirements–Small/Micro Business Certification and eVA Registration–for a small business to be positioned to conduct business with the state government agencies as well as many of the local government agencies within the state. It also highlights tips and best practices for selecting the appropriate commodity codes, analyzing the market potential for your particular business, targeting buyers in specific state agencies which buy the goods and/or services your company provides, and navigating Virginia’s eProcurement Portal to maximize your opportunities for state and local government business.
This event is hosted by the Orange County, VA Economic Development Authority in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity and the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center.
