SWaM Certification: Is it Right for Your Business?

Are you a small, women-owned, or minority-owned business who wants to do business with the Commonwealth of Virginia?  Each year the state buys goods and services totaling more than $8 billion.   Small business owners who are looking to participate in Virginia’s specialized procurement and contracting opportunities are encouraged to become SWaM certified.  SWaM certification provides access to specialized procurement and contracting opportunities.

This workshop will provide information on the first steps in doing business with the Commonwealth.  Learn about the SWaM Certification program and designations, the certification process, online application portal (live demo), and the required documents needed to apply … for new or recertifying business owners.

Presented by Angela Barber, Business Services Manager, Virginia Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity.
