The Commonwealth of Virginia and many local government agencies throughout the state have “set-aside” programs that give priority to Small, Woman- and/or Minority-owned (SWaM) certified companies.   Companies must apply for and obtain SWAM certification to be considered in this set-aside program.  This workshop is designed to help guide you through the certification process and assist you in navigating the Commonwealth’s online procurement system, eVA, as well.

Topics covered in this workshop:

  • Details/benefits of the small business set-aside preference program
  • Navigating the SWaM application process
  • Positioning your business for greater success at winning contracts
  • Live demo and walk thru of the SWaM certification website and the eVA website
