The Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (DSBSD) recognizes small businesses need assistance with specific business topics to help them succeed. The Small Business Academy is a series of workshops designed to address your business needs and better equip you to develop and grow your business. DSBSD will collaborate with various small business resource partners to offer Small Business Academy Workshops throughout the state.
The Central / South Region started this monthly series in January with “Branding 101”; February – “Using Social Media to Grow Your Business”; April – “Getting the Most Out of eVa”. The series continues in May with “Responding to Solicitations”.
Responding to Solicitations
This “hands-on” workshop will focus on understanding and responding to Quick Quotes (QQ). Quick Quotes represent the “lion’s share” of solicitations generated through eVa, and practically all state agencies and many localities use eVa to solicit products and services that you provide. If you plan to do business with the state of Virginia, you need to understand this tool.
Mary Brown – Virginia Department of General Services, Division of Purchases & Supply, Procurement Management Account Executive / Policy, Consulting and Review.
