Why you should participate:
Our goal is to better prepare our workforce for our regional businesses. In order to do that, workforce partners need to have a better idea of what businesses need and how to best connect jobseekers to them. The Workforce Exchange is designed to be a way for our businesses to interact directly with our workforce service providers. Businesses can share information about their company, their workforce needs and their hiring process with the agencies that help prepare jobseekers. This is a chance for businesses to tell us: what they are looking for (as well as what they aren’t) and how best for those jobseekers to connect with them.
The event:
For the event, there will be a panel of businesses (usually 4) and an ‘audience’ of front line workforce staff (agencies/organizations that work with jobseekers to provide training, skill development and job readiness). Panel participants would be given about 10 minutes to talk about their company, occupations within the company, their hiring process and how they prefer for jobseekers to connect with them. After the company presentations, there will be an interactive question and answer period.
The event is free and breakfast refreshment will be available.
