The Coalition of Northern Virginia Chambers is proud to announce the “Doing Business With Metro” Procurement Forum, a half-day event were Northern Virginia businesses can meet with senior Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority procurement officials to learn more about how they can compete for contracting opportunities with Metro.
This procurement forum is scheduled for Monday, October 15th at the George Mason University Campus in Arlington. Suzette Moore, WMATA’s Chief Procurement Officer, will provide the keynote remarks on the various purchasing and procurement opportunities with the Authority. In addition, Managers from WMATA’s procurement branches – Construction, Rail, Bus, IT, Inventory – will participate in Matchmaking sessions with prospective vendors to discuss future contracting opportunities. Meanwhile, additional Program Managers from the Construction and IT groups will be on hand.
WMATA also will provide on-site vendor registration for companies that wish to join the Authority’s purchasing system, and representatives from the Small Business Programs Office will discuss WMATA’s Minority Business Programs.

Parking
The campus is located a short walk (.2 miles) from the Virginia Square-GMU Metro Station (Orange & Silver lines). Hourly parking is available in the Founders Hall Garage (located off of Founders Way North) for a rate of $3 per hour or $15 for the day. Nearby metered street parking is also available.
